Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is responsible for formulation, implementation and review of national policies in the field of Information Technology, Electronics and Internet (all matters other than licensing of Internet Service Provider). Its mission is to promote e-Governance for empowering citizens; promoting the inclusive and sustainable growth of the Electronics, IT and ITeS industries; enhancing India’s role in Internet Governance; adopting a multipronged approach that includes development of human resources; promoting R&D and innovation; enhancing efficiency through digital services; and ensuring a secure cyber space.

Ministry of Electronics and technology, Govt of India online applications for the interested candidates to apply for its internship programme.The details of the program is as follows:-

Qualification:-

- Indian students from recognized universities in India who have secured at least 60% marks in their last held degree or certificate examination.

- Candidates pursuing the following courses are eligible:

   - B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Computer Science (CS), IT, Electronics & Communications (EC), Electronics, or Electrical.

   - M.Sc. in Computer Science (CS), IT, Electronics, or Electrical.

   - MCA or DOEACC ‘B’ level.

   - LL.B (only for specific areas related to Cyber Laws and Public policy on Internet).

   - B.E/B.Tech in Electronics & Communications (EC) or Electronics, combined with MBA in Finance, OR M.Sc. in Electronics combined with MBA in Finance (for specific area related to Project appraisal and Funding methodologies for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing units vis a vis international economies.

Note:- Students in their last semester or who will pass out in summer 2024 are not eligible for the internship. Only students who are in the previous one year will be considered.

Interested and eligible students need to apply online ONLY (URL: http://meity.gov.in/schemes).The application needs to be sponsored/forwarded by the Institution where the applicant is currently enrolled in.

Steps to follow for submitting application for MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme 2024

1. Go to https://serviceonline.gov.in

2. Register yourself if not already registered.

3. Login into the portal using your credentials.

4. From left menu: select view all available services under apply for service option.

5. Search for "MEITY DIGITAL INDIA INTERNSHIP SCHEME 2024"

6. Click on the service description link to open the application form.

7. Follow the instructions to fill the application form along with required annexures and submit.

8. Note your application reference number and keep monitoring for further required action, if any.
