Recruitment name:140th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-140)" conducted by the Indian Army.

 Total no.of vacancies: 30 (as per different branches in engineering ).

Application mode: online.

Selection: Interview base.

Salary: Rs 56100+various other allowances  (initial).

Eligibility:-

- Nationality:

  - Must be a citizen of India, or

  - Subject of Nepal, or

  - Person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  - Gorkha subjects of Nepal are exempt from needing a certificate of eligibility.

  - Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility must attach it with the application.

- Age Limit:

  - 20 to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2025. 

  - Candidates born between 02 Jan 1998 and 01 Jan 2005 are eligible.

  - Date of birth recorded in Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or Equivalent Examination Certificate will be accepted.


- Educational Qualification:

  - Candidates with a requisite Engineering Degree or in the final year of Engineering Degree course can apply.

  - Final year candidates must provide proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination by 01 Jan 2025.

  - Candidates must produce Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA).


- Important Points:

  - Final year candidates whose exams are scheduled after 01 Jan 2025 are not eligible.

  - Candidates with backlogs at the time of application submission will not be allowed to appear in SSB interview.

  - Candidates in final semester/year should meet the approved cut-off percentage in their respective streams.

Type of commission:

- Short Service Commission (SSC):

  - Selected candidates: Lieutenant rank on probation.

  - Full pay and allowances during training.

  - Pay & Allowances post-training.

- Permanent Commission (PC):

  - Granted to cadets after successful training.

  - Rank: Lieutenant.

- Ante Date Seniority:

  - Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry: one year ante date seniority as Lieutenant.

How to apply?

 1.Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’.

2. If not registered, click ‘Registration’; otherwise, proceed to login.

3. Fill the online registration form after reading instructions carefully.

4. After registration, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard.

5. Select ‘Apply’ against Technical Graduate Course under Officers Selection ‘Eligibility’.

6. Fill details under various segments: Personal information, Communication details, Education details, and details of previous SSB.

7. ‘Save & Continue’ each time before moving to the next segment.

8. After filling details, review on ‘Summary of your information’.

9. Click ‘Submit’ after verifying correctness of details.

10. Take out two copies of the application after final closure of online application on the last day, with Roll Number.


Remember:

- No changes can be made after closure of application.

- CGPA/Grades must be converted into Marks as per university norms.

- Name, Parent’s name, Date of Birth in the profile and online application must match Matriculation certificate.

- Carry self-attested copies and originals of required documents to the Selection Centre.

Selection procedure:


- Short listing of Applications:

  - Applications are shortlisted based on cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream.

  - Final semester/year candidates provisionally allowed for SSB subject to meeting conditions.


- Centre Allotment:

  - Centre allotment communicated via email.

  - Candidates select SSB dates initially; may be forfeited due to exceptional circumstances.


- SSB Interview:

  - Shortlisted candidates interviewed at Selection Centres.

  - Consists of two stages; Stage-1 cleared candidates proceed to Stage-2.

  - Duration of SSB interviews: five days.


- Medical Examination:

  - Recommended candidates undergo medical examination.


- Joining Letter:

  - Candidates recommended and declared medically fit receive Joining Letter for training based on merit and vacancies, meeting eligibility criteria.
