Hello friends, here is a good news for you. Another much awaited recruitment notification of Railway recruitment board for the year 2024 has been notified by the government. Reservation:-in addition to above
- Vertical reservation for EWS, SC, ST, and OBC-NCL as per extant rules. - EBC and EWS are distinct categories; EBC candidates are not entitled to job reservation. - Candidates, regardless of community, can apply for general vacancies if they meet eligibility conditions. - Reserved vacancies filled only by candidates belonging to specific community/category. - SC, ST & OBC-NCL candidates can also apply for UR vacancies but compete as general candidates. - EWS, SC, ST & OBC-NCL candidates must provide necessary certificates during DV. - OBC-NCL certificate must specify non-inclusion in the Creamy Layer. - Community/category status as on closing date of applications considered for reservation. - EWS reservation applicable to candidates below a certain income threshold and asset ownership limit. - Horizontal reservation of 10% for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM) irrespective of social community. - Ex-Servicemen eligibility criteria detailed, including Medical Standard. - Candidates serving in Central/State Government or PSUs need NOC from employer. - Failure to provide NOC may result in cancellation of candidature. - Communication from employer withholding permission may lead to rejection of application/candidature.

Note:- Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational qualification are not eligible to apply.
Examination fee:-
Note:- The fee structure for modifying the application is as follows:
1. Modification Fee: ₹250/- for each occasion (non-refundable).
2. If changing community from SC/ST to UR, OBC, or EWS: ₹250/- (difference in examination fee) in addition to the modification fee.
3. If switching from Ex.SM to UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Non Ex.SM: ₹250/- (difference in examination fee) in addition to the modification fee.
Exam pattern:-
- Online Computer Based Test (CBT)
Pattern & Syllabus of CBT:
Total Duration: 90 minutes & Total Questions: 120
Candidates shall be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. No mark shall be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted
There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts.
Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR, EWS and OBC-NCL - 35%, SC & ST - 30%
b.Syllabus for CBT: Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice answers and are likely to cover topics pertaining to the following syllabus
Arithmetic (35 marks):
Questions on Number System, Whole Numbers, Decimal & Fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration, Time & Distance, etc.
General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 marks):
Questions on Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving Analysis, Judgement, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discriminating observation, Relationship concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal & Figure classification, Arithmetic number series, Non-verbal series, Coding and Decoding, Statement- Conclusion, Syllogistic reasoning, etc.
General Awareness (50 marks):
Questions will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the Environment around him/her and its application to society; to test knowledge of current Events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.
- Shortlisting based on CBT performance - Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

- Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
PMT criteria:-
Note:-PET/PMT is qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded.
- Document Verification (DV)
-Medical examination:-
- -Medical category 'B-1' from Indian Railway Medical Manual required.
- -Candidates with certain bodily infirmities like glasses, flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, color blindness are ineligible.
How to apply?
1. Read all instructions carefully before applying online.
2. Create an account on the official RRB website using a personal mobile number and valid email ID.
3. No changes allowed later, so ensure accurate details during account creation.
4. Submit only one application through official RRB websites.
5. Pay applicable examination fee.
6. Keep scanned documents ready: passport-size photograph, signature, SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
7. Photograph should be in JPEG format (30 to 70KB) against a plain white background.
Note:- Candidate must have 12 copies of the same photography for future course of recruitment process.
8. Signature should be in running handwriting (30 to 70KB).
9. SC/ST Certificate should be in PDF format (up to 500KB).
10. Candidates can use Common Services Centre for online application submission and fee payment.

12. Keep personal mobile number and email active for communication.
13. Remember Registration Number for future correspondence.
14. Onus of providing proof lies with candidates.
15. RRBs will communicate only via SMS and/or email.
