Note:- The fee structure for modifying the application is as follows: 1. Modification Fee: ₹250/- for each occasion (non-refundable). 2. If switching from Ex.SM to UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Non Ex.SM: ₹250/- (difference in examination fee) in addition to the modification fee.

Exam pattern:-

- Online Computer Based Test (CBT)

  1. Pattern & Syllabus of CBT:

    1. Total Duration: 90 minutes & Total Questions: 120

    2. Candidates shall be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. No mark shall be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted

    3. There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.

    4. Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts.

    5. Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR, EWS and OBC-NCL - 35%, SC & ST - 30%

b.Syllabus for CBT: Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice answers and are likely to cover topics pertaining to the following syllabus

  1. Arithmetic (35 marks):

Questions on Number System, Whole Numbers, Decimal & Fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration, Time & Distance, etc.

  1. General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 marks):

Questions on Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving Analysis, Judgement, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discriminating observation, Relationship concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal & Figure classification, Arithmetic number series, Non-verbal series, Coding and Decoding, Statement- Conclusion, Syllogistic reasoning, etc.

  1. General Awareness (50 marks):

Questions will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the Environment around him/her and its application to society; to test knowledge of current Events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.

-Medical examination:-

  • -Medical category 'B-1' from Indian Railway Medical Manual required.
  • -Candidates with certain bodily infirmities like glasses, flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, color blindness are ineligible.

5. Pay applicable examination fee.

6. Keep scanned documents ready: passport-size photograph, signature, SC/ST certificate (if applicable).

7. Photograph should be in JPEG format (30 to 70KB) against a plain white background.

Note:- Candidate must have 12 copies of the same photography for future course of recruitment process.

8. Signature should be in running handwriting (30 to 70KB).

9. SC/ST Certificate should be in PDF format (up to 500KB).

10. Candidates can use Common Services Centre for online application submission and fee payment.
