- Documentation: EWS, SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates need specific certificates during Document Verification.
- EWS Reservation: Income-based criteria with property ownership exclusions; requires Income and Asset Certificate.
- Horizontal Reservation: 10% reservation for Ex-Servicemen regardless of community; specific criteria for eligibility.
- Re-employment: Ex-Servicemen can apply for re-employment one year before completing their service terms, subject to educational criteria.
- NOC: Candidates employed in government or PSUs need an NOC from their employer during DV.
- Candidature Cancellation: Lack of required documentation, including NOC, can lead to cancellation.

Exam pattern:-
- Online Computer Based Test (CBT)
Pattern & Syllabus of CBT:
Total Duration: 90 minutes & Total Questions: 120
Candidates shall be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. No mark shall be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted
There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts.
Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR, EWS and OBC-NCL - 35%, SC & ST - 30%
b.Syllabus for CBT: Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice answers and are likely to cover topics pertaining to the following syllabus
Arithmetic (35 marks):
Questions on Number System, Whole Numbers, Decimal & Fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration, Time & Distance, etc.
General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 marks):
Questions on Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving Analysis, Judgement, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discriminating observation, Relationship concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal & Figure classification, Arithmetic number series, Non-verbal series, Coding and Decoding, Statement- Conclusion, Syllogistic reasoning, etc.
General Awareness (50 marks):
Questions will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the Environment around him/her and its application to society; to test knowledge of current Events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.

Note:-PET/PMT is qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded.
- Document Verification (DV)
-Medical examination:-
- -Medical category 'B-1' from Indian Railway Medical Manual required.
- -Candidates with certain bodily infirmities like glasses, flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, color blindness are ineligible.
- Exemption from PET for Ex-servicemen - Additional PET/PMT rounds for shortfall candidates - Maximum of two rounds of PET/PMT
How to apply?
1. Read all instructions carefully before applying online.
2. Create an account on the official RRB website using a personal mobile number and valid email ID.
3. No changes allowed later, so ensure accurate details during account creation.
4. Submit only one application through official RRB websites.
5. Pay applicable examination fee.
6. Keep scanned documents ready: passport-size photograph, signature, SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
7. Photograph should be in JPEG format (30 to 70KB) against a plain white background.
8. Signature should be in running handwriting (30 to 70KB).
9. SC/ST Certificate should be in PDF format (up to 500KB).
10. Candidates can use Common Services Centre for online application submission and fee payment.
11. Visit official RRB websites regularly for updates.
