Who Can Apply?

Both Male and Female candidates who are Indian citizens and domiciled in Meghalaya.
  • Trained Home Guards/Civil Defence Volunteers preferred for certain positions.

Important Dates:

  • Application forms available: April 1, 2024
  • Last date for receipt of applications: May 1, 2024

Vacancies:

  • Sub-Inspectors: 4 vacancies
  • Guardsman and equivalent ranks: 284 vacancies
  • Drivers: 17 vacancies
  • Non-Combatant Employees: 140 vacancies
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Citizenship: Indian citizens domiciled in Meghalaya
    • Training: Basic training by Home Guards or Civil Defence organization
    • Educational qualifications vary for each post.

    • Age:
    • Sub-Inspector: Between 20 to 27 years
      1. Guardsman and equivalent ranks: Between 18 to 27 years
      2. Driver: Between 18 to 32 years
      3. Non-Combatant Employee (NCE): Between 18 to 32 years.
      4. Relaxation- SC/ST-5 years

    • Examination Pattern:
    • Includes Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination, and Interview
    • Pattern varies for each post

    Examination Schedule:Written examination dates and venues to be notified later through newspapers and departmental website.

  • Reservation:Percentage allocation for different categories based on reservation policy.

      • 40% reservation for Khasi Jaintia Candidates
      • 40% reservation for Garo Candidates
      • 5% reservation for Other Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Caste of Meghalaya
      • 15% reservation for Unreserved Category

      Additionally, 10% of the vacancies in the post of Guardsman are reserved for Women Candidates as per the existing Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards (Subordinate) Service Rules, 2015.

KSEAB Class 10 Result 2024: Karnataka SSLC Results Out, Check Your Scores Now at karresults.nic.in.

  The Karnataka School Examinations and Assessments Board announced the results on May 9, 2024.The exams took place from March 25 to April 6, 2024, with practical and oral exams for JTS students on April 8.This year has seen a drastic change in the result as compared to earlier year. In 2024, a total of 8,59,967 students appeared for the SSLC Class 10 exams, out of which 6,31,204 students managed to pass, resulting in a pass percentage of 73.40%. Contrasting this with the previous year, 2023, where the pass percentage stood at 83.89%, it's evident that there has been a significant decrease in student performance.
