The Karnataka School Examinations and Assessments Board announced the results on May 9, 2024.The exams took place from March 25 to April 6, 2024, with practical and oral exams for JTS students on April 8.This year has seen a drastic change in the result as compared to earlier year.In 2024, a total of 8,59,967 students appeared for the SSLC Class 10 exams, out of which 6,31,204 students managed to pass, resulting in a pass percentage of 73.40%. Contrasting this with the previous year, 2023, where the pass percentage stood at 83.89%, it's evident that there has been a significant decrease in student performance.

  • Boys: Of the 4,36,138 boys who appeared for the exam, 2,87,416 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 65.90%.
  • Girls: On the other hand, out of the 4,23,829 girls who wrote the exam, 3,43,788 passed, leading to a pass percentage of 81.11%.
Topper district:-

This year among the districts of Karnataka,Udupi has emerged the topper district with a pass percentage result of 94 %, which is a remarkable feat for this district.

Least performing district

Yadagiri being the least performing district at 50.59%.


About topper of this year

Ankita Basappa Konnur, a student of Morarji Desai Residential School in Mudhol, Bagalkot district, achieved a perfect score of 625 out of 625 marks. She is the only student to achieve full marks in all subjects this year. Ankita's remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Ankita hails from Vajramatti village, and her father, Basappa Konnur, is a farmer who owns six acres of land. Her mother, Geetha, is a homemaker who occasionally helps with the family farm work. Ankita aspires to become a computer engineer and plans to start working immediately after graduation to support her family.
