 Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi, under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence is in process of recruitment of apprentices for one year training for the Financial Year-2024-2025. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates in following disciplines:

- Diploma Apprentice: Total 20 vacancies

- Graduate Apprentice: Total 17 vacancies.

Diploma Apprentice:

1. Diploma in Computer Engineering

   - Total Vacancy: 03

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00

2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering

   - Total Vacancy: 01

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00

3. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

   - Total Vacancy: 01

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00

4. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

   - Total Vacancy: 04

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00

5. Diploma in Modern Office Practice (English and Hindi)/Office Management

   - Total Vacancy: 11

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00

6. Diploma in L.I.Sc. (Library Science)

   - Total Vacancy: 01

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 8000.00


For Graduate Apprentice:

1. B.Sc. (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics)

   - Total Vacancy: 14

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 9000.00

2.  B. Pharma

   - Total Vacancy: 02

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 9000.00

3. B.L.I.Sc. (Library Science)

   - Total Vacancy: 01

   - Stipend per Month: Rs. 9000.00


Eligibility Criteria:

- Age: As per Apprentices Act, 1961 guidelines

- Age Relaxation: As per Government norms

- Educational Qualification:

 For Diploma Apprentice:

1. Diploma in Computer Engineering

2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering

3. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

4. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

5. Diploma in Modern Office Practice (English and Hindi)/Office Management

6. Diploma in L.I.Sc. (Library Science)


For Graduate Apprentice:

1. B.Sc. (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics)

2. B. Pharma

3. B.L.I.Sc. (Library Science)


- Candidates must have completed their respective diploma or degree courses as regular candidates.

- Only fresh pass-out candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the year 2020 or later are eligible to apply.

- Candidates with post-graduation degrees are not eligible to apply.

- Graduate / Diploma holders who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible.

 Application Fees:

- No application fees mentioned in the advertisement


Selection procedure:

The selection procedure for the apprenticeship positions at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), DRDO is as follows:

1. Shortlisting of Candidates:

   - Candidates will be shortlisted strictly on merit basis, i.e., based on the percentage/marks obtained in their essential qualification.

   - A board constituted by the Director of INMAS will go through the applications and shortlist the candidates as per the vacancies indicated in the advertisement.


2. Selection:

   - Only the selected candidates will be informed about the selection.

   - There will be no interview or any other selection process apart from the merit-based shortlisting.


Key Points Regarding the Selection Process:


1. Reservation:

   - Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its subsequent amendments.

   - Applicants belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), OBC (Other Backward Classes) - Non-Creamy layer, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) must produce their relevant certificates issued by the competent authority.


2. Medical Fitness:

   - The selected candidates will have to submit a "Medical Fitness Certificate" at the time of joining.


3. Contract Execution:

   - The selected candidates must execute a contract for a period of one year of training as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the rules framed thereunder.


4. Director's Discretion:

   - The Director of INMAS reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.

   - The Director also reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the advertisement/selection process if circumstances so warrant, without assigning any reason.


The selection will be based solely on merit, and the shortlisted candidates will be informed about the outcome. Candidates are advised to ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria before applying for the apprenticeship positions at INMAS, DRDO.
