Eligibility criteria:


- For Electronics: Qualifying degrees include Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Controls, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, and Electronics System Engineering. Valid GATE score in Electronics required.

  

- For Instrumentation: Qualifying degrees include Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Controls, Instrumentation & Electronics, and Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. Valid GATE score in Instrumentation required.


- Candidates with Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree can apply under either Electrical or Electronics. Candidates with Electronics & Instrumentation degree can apply under either Instrumentation or Electronics. Valid GATE score in the chosen discipline required.


- Integrated M.Tech courses with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline are eligible.


- Only the mentioned disciplines are considered. Equivalents are not accepted.


- Applicants awaiting final results can apply but must submit final results by November 30, 2024, indicating completion of the degree and a minimum of 60% marks.

Selection procedure:-

The step by step procedure is as follows:-

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview based on the merit drawn from valid GATE scores of 2022, 2023, and 2024, using a ratio of 1:12. Candidates with the same cut-off marks will all be shortlisted.


2. GATE Scores: Only GATE scores from 2022, 2023, and 2024 will be considered. Previous GATE scores will not be entertained. Equal weightage will be given to GATE scores from each year.


3. Shortlisting for PwBDs: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities will be shortlisted separately by applying a 1:12 ratio in each disability category.


4. Communication of Shortlisting: Candidates will be informed of their interview status through email/SMS and can download their call letters from the NPCIL website.


5. Interview: Final selection will be based on performance in the personal interview, subject to medical fitness. The qualifying marks for the interview are 70% for Unreserved category and 60% for EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD categories.


6. Separate Merit List for PwBDs: A separate merit list will be prepared for each PwBD category, and candidates will be selected in order of merit.


7. Result Announcement: Interview results will be available on the NPCIL website, and offer letters will be available for downloading.


8. Acceptance: Empanelled candidates must submit their acceptance form via email within the stipulated date.


9. Tie-breaking: In case of a tie in interview marks, preference will be given to candidates with higher GATE scores. If both interview marks and GATE scores are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

Interview schedule:-

Interviews are scheduled tentatively from 3rd  to 15th  June, 2024.

Documents needed:-

These are the list of documents required for verification at the time of the interview:

1. Date of Birth (DoB) proof: - Xth Standard Passing Certificate indicating Date of Birth OR - School Leaving Certificate 2. Qualification: - Mark sheets indicating date of declaration of result. - Final Degree Certificate - Provisional passing Certificate (if Final Degree Certificate is not issued) - Authenticated conversion table for CGPA/GPA/SGPA or letter grades (if applicable) 3. GATE 2022/GATE 2023/GATE 2024 Admit Card and Score Card. 4. "No Objection Certificate" from the current employer (if applicable). 5. Gazette Notification/certificate for change of name (if applicable). 6. Certificate of being Ex-Serviceman (if applicable). 7. Certificate in support of being Dependant of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (if applicable). 8. Caste/Category Certificates: - SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates: caste/category certificate as per Government of India format. - EWS applicants: Income and Asset certificate (I&AC) in the prescribed format valid for 2024-25. - OBC (Non Creamy Layer) applicants: Requisite certificate in the prescribed format issued on or after 01.04.2024. - PwBD candidates: Disability Certificate issued by the prescribed authority. 9. Translated copy of EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD certificate if issued in a language other than English/Hindi. Ensure to bring the original documents for verification.

How to apply?

1. Registration

   - Visit the website www.npcilcareers.co.in and click on the "Apply" tab.

   - Fill in the required details such as GATE 2022/GATE 2023/GATE 2024 Registration Number, Discipline, Name, Date of Birth, Category, Email, Mobile number, PwBD details, and other exemption details (if applicable).

   - An activation link will be sent to your email. Click on it to activate your account.


2. Filling Candidate Details & Submitting Application:

   - Log in using your login ID and password.

   - Fill in all the necessary details including Educational Qualifications, Work Experience (if any), Personal Details, choice of interview city, choice of 'Reactor Stream', and upload scanned photograph and signature as per the specified format.

   - Save each stage before proceeding to the next one.

   - Review all the entered information at the "Submit Application" stage. Once submitted, no changes can be made.


3. Payment of Application Fee (if applicable):

   - Only male candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC categories are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- with applicable bank charges.

   - Payment can be made online using debit card/credit card/net-banking/UPI through the integrated payment gateway.

   - After successful payment, wait for the intimation from the server. Do not refresh the page.

   - Verify the status of payment by logging in again. Close the browser window once the transaction is complete.


4. Completion of Application:

   - After completing all the steps mentioned above, your application process is complete.

   - You can view/print the online application form and check your application status using the "Applicant’s Login" link.

   - Make a note of your login ID and password for future reference.

   - Ensure that your scanned signature and photograph meet the specified requirements for uploading.

- Enter the exact percentage of marks without rounding off.

- Check your eligibility before making the payment.

- Keep your login details safe.

- Ensure your application form has a valid signature and photograph.
