Previous year statistics :-

In 2023, a total of 11,79,883 students appeared for the Class 5 exam, with 9,70,701 students clearing it. The pass percentage was recorded at 82.27 percent, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 84.32 percent and boys attaining an 80.34 percent pass percentage. In Class 8, 10,66,405 students appeared for the exams, and 8,11,433 qualified. The pass percentage for Class 8 was 76.09 percent, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 78.86 percent and boys attaining a pass percentage of 73.46 percent.Rural students outperformed urban students in both Class 5 and Class 8 exams. In Class 5, 85.58 percent of rural students passed the exam, while only 72.73 percent of urban students passed. In Class 8, 79.04 percent of rural students passed, while 72.53 percent of urban students passed.
