 Pay Scale:


Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).


Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5(Rs. 29,200-92,300).

Data Entry Operator, Grade „A‟: Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100).


Vacancies: 3712 posts.

Eligibility criteria:

-Nationality/Citizenship:

  - Must be a citizen of India, or

  - Subject of Nepal, or

  - Subject of Bhutan, or

  - Person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  - Candidates from categories (b), (c), and (d) require a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.


- Certificate of Eligibility:

  - Candidates needing a certificate of eligibility can still apply but must obtain it before receiving the appointment offer.


- Physical Standards and Efficiency Tests:

  - Physical standards, efficiency tests, and medical standards are required for the post of Lower Division Clerk in BRO (Border Roads Organization).

  - Candidates should ensure they meet all required standards before selecting a post in BRO.


- Gender Requirement:

  - Only male candidates are eligible for posts in the Border Roads Organization.

How to apply?

1. Generate OTR:

   - Create One-Time Registration (OTR) on new website (https://ssc.gov.in). Old OTR from (https://ssc.nic.in) won't work.


2. Fill Application:

   - Access the application form on SSC Headquarter website (https://ssc.gov.in).


3. Photograph Requirements:

   - Capture a clear photo without cap/spectacles, following provided instructions.

   - Photograph specimens provided in Annexure-V.


4. Upload Signature:

   - Upload signature in JPEG/JPG format (10-20 KB).

   - Signature dimensions: 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).


5. Submission Deadline:

   - Last date for submission: 07-05-2024 (23:00).


6. Early Submission:

   - Submit well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.


7. Preview and Correction:

   - Check details through Preview/Print option before final submission.

Application fee:


Please note that the fee is Rs 100/- for General/OBC candidates, while women candidates, SC/ST candidates, PwBD candidates, and Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates are exempted from fee payment.
